In many African cultures, elders are the keepers of tradition, wisdom, and family history. But as lifestyles change and people move away from home in search of opportunities, many older individuals are left behind without care or companionship.
That’s why Christ Evangelical Church created the Akwadum Old People’s Home — a peaceful refuge where senior citizens are treated with dignity, fed nutritious meals, and given a community they can belong to. Here, the elderly are not forgotten. They are honoured, celebrated, and supported in their golden years, just as they deserve.
