Christ Evangelical Church (CEC) was founded in 1992 by the late Pastor Elizabeth Korsah, a visionary leader with a heart for community and spiritual growth. What began as a humble prayer meeting in her Leytonstone home quickly blossomed into a vibrant congregation. As attendance grew, the group moved to a local Anglican Church hall, and eventually, with the support of the local priest, secured a dedicated space at 13 Newcomen Road, London E11 3PU.
Pastor Elizabeth’s mission extended beyond the pulpit. Her philanthropic spirit led to the establishment of the Akwadum Christian Village in Ghana’s Eastern Region, addressing the needs of orphans, the elderly, and providing educational opportunities. Her legacy continues to inspire CEC’s commitment to faith-driven community service
